On a higher level, the Vital also includes emotions and feelings as well.
"...the emotional vital...is the seat of various feelings, such as love, joy, sorrow, hatred, and the rest;"
Sri Aurobindo associates the Emotional Vital with the heart chakra; although his correspondences would seem more similar to contemporary New Age rather than traditional Tantric definitions.
