A few books about the New Age
  Mark Woodhouse, Paradigm Wars: Worldviews for a New Age Frog Ltd, 1996 - (homepage of author and book) - a very interesting  "emic" (insider or believer) account, contrasting the "Old Paradigm" and "New Paradigm" perspectives on many different subjects - energy monism, ufos, etc. New Paradigm and New Age are presented as overlapping terms (Amazon page)

  New Age Religion and Western Culture: Esotericism in the Mirror of Secular Thought by Wouter J. Hanegraaff, (SUNY Series in Western Esoteric Traditions) 1998 - excellent scholarly coverage, also traces the roots of the New Age to 18th and 19th century esotericism. An "etic" (outsider or observer) account that complements Woodhouse's "emic" position. More

 In Search of New Age Spiritualities by Adam Possamai (Ashgate New Critical Thinking in Religion, Theology, and Biblical Studies) Ashgate Publishing (November 2005) - written from a sociological perspective; from what I can see from  Google Books, it looks very interesting, although quite pricey for a slim book (160 pp.)
