Consciousness

Consciousness

By "Consciousness" is meant the individual, subjective, dimension of Reality. Of course in the case of nonduality, which is (an aspect of) Reality in Itself, Consciousness is no longer individual but Universal (as Paramartman - the Supreme Self). In the realm of duality however, Consciousness, as individual subjectivity, is one of the three primary perspectives, the other two being Intersubjectivity and Objectivity.

In working on and trying to develop my own Integral Philosophy, and especially considering other systems of Integral_Psychology, I realised that Consciousness-in-the-world (i.e. dualistic and especially exoteric consciousness) can be understood in terms of Yin and Yang polarities. These are shown below:

Finally, the following diagram shows Consciousness in terms of progressive gradations of subtle worlds and aspects/substrates (of Physical, Emotional, and Mental), as well as increasing Transformation and Transcendence

Integral Psychology - transformation of consciousness

The further one moves towards the Center or True Being, the greater the transformnation, and transparency to the Divine.
